Cirencester Repair Café
Cirencester Repair Café is a friendly community space where people can bring broken or damaged household items—like clothing, small appliances, toys, and tools—and get help from skilled volunteers who can fix them. Whether it’s a stuck zip, a lamp that won’t light, or a wobbly chair, our team is here to help—for free or a voluntary donation. It’s a great way to reduce waste, save money, and learn new repair skills. More than just mending things, the café brings people together, encourages sustainability, and helps build a more connected, resourceful community.

The Friends of the Gumstool Brook
Founded in 2013, this local volunteer group is dedicated to caring for Cirencester’s waterways—particularly Gumstool Brook and its surrounding channels, which connect to the River Churn and Daglingworth Stream. In response to worsening environmental conditions, including low water flows and occasional flooding, the group focuses on monitoring water quality and levels, raising public awareness, and providing detailed monthly reports. They also host open public meetings and maintain extensive online resources, including incident reporting, archival documents, and a library of environmental links
